Jon Krakauer is a great storyteller, and this book read like a novel, as much as Into Thin Air. I'd rate it higher, but I got so mad at Chris. His poor family.

Loved this book and recommended it to many folks. Sent it to a friend of my mom's who was preparing for major surgery for a life-threatening condition. He couldn't put the book down. Now that's a good read.
